Stephanie Warcup has substituted in my classroom for the past two years. I have also had the opportunity to observe her work at Wakefield School where she substituted for many of the teachers on a regular basis as a permanent substitute for meetings at least twice a week. Many times this year she has taken over in emergency situations for extended periods of time. Due to the unique circumstances, she had to do additional planning and assume more responsibility than usual. She successfully and competently met the challenge each and every time.
Stephanie is an excellent teacher: dedicated, responsible, organized, and compassionate. She creates a safe and nurturing environment which encourages risk taking. She uses appropriate teaching methods and recognizes developmental levels and individual strengths and needs.
Stephanie's classroom management skills are superior. She is extremely capable of managing a diverse and challenging classroom. She is able to motivate and engage children in a calm and encouraging fashion which facilitates a classroom climate that is always under control. In addition, Stephanie is extremely competent working with parents, service providers, and other staff members. She is a welcome and valued member of our learning community.
I strongly recommend Stephanie Warcup for a teaching position. She is the kind of teacher that any school district would be proud to have on their staff.
